Naomi Osaka is the new FTX ambassador

Naomi Osaka is the newest addition to Sam Bankman-cryptocurrency Fried’s company. In FTX’s growing roster of sports ambassadors, Osaka joins the likes of seven-time National Football League champion Tom Brady, two-way baseball wonder Shohei Ohtani, and NBA superstar Stephen Curry. According to a press release issued Monday, “in addition to being an FTX worldwide ambassador, Osaka will earn an equity investment in FTX Trading Limited and will be compensated in crypto.”

Last August, Osaka launched her first crypto enterprise, a non-fungible token (NFT) collection in collaboration with DraftKings. According to a news release, Osaka will wear the FTX emblem for future competitions as part of the partnership. Osaka is the company’s first prominent female athlete to sign on as a sports ambassador. In June 2021, supermodel Gisele Bundchen joined FTX as an adviser on environmental and social projects.

The four-time Grand Slam singles champion will concentrate on bringing more women onto the platform and into Web3’s future. Osaka is well-known for advocating for social justice and boosting mental health awareness. Her advocacy for women to get in on the ground floor of the quickly emerging crypto business is a natural continuation of her work to advance equality and culture.

Because of Osaka’s Haitian and Japanese cultural legacy and background, the city will collaborate with FTX to artistically direct and produce content with a worldwide audience in mind. In addition, during the Miami Open, Osaka will wear the FTX emblem on her outfits for the first time. FTX will assist Osaka in continuing her involvement in the burgeoning cryptocurrency business, allowing her to invest in and trade the cryptocurrencies of her choice.
