John Legend dips his feet in the world of NFT

John Legend, an American singer-songwriter, is joining the ranks of celebrities flocking to the realm of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) by assisting with the development of a new NFT platform for artists and other entertainers.

OurSong is a platform that allows artists to tokenize and sell their work, giving buyers access to unreleased music and private chat rooms. The programme claims that “everyone can now turn stories, music, photography, and any kind of creativity into NFT trading cards called Vibes.” “With Vibes, you can gain access to special updates and secret chat forums where you can meet like-minded people.” As Chief Impact Officer, Legend will be in charge of attracting up-and-coming musicians and their fan communities.

The initiative has a number of well-known people associated with it, including Chris Lin, the co-founder of digital music streaming service KKBOX, who will act as the new company’s CEO. Kevin Lin, co-founder of the live video streaming network Twitch, and Matt Cheng, founder of early-stage venture capital firm Cherubic Ventures, will join the team as well.

The platform, according to Lin, will not require users to have a cryptocurrency wallet. Only OurSongDollars can be used to purchase Vibes, according to the Terms of Service (OSD). “You can buy OSD in OurSong with a credit card, debit card, wire transfer, or USD Coin placed in your Circle’s blockchain wallet,” it says.

That’s all new with John Legend for now.
