AdaSwap, a Cardano ecosystem builder, recently announced the successful completion of a $2.5 million financing round. AdaSwap attracted a lot of attention from notable investors once it was launched with the goal of “creating” the first DeFi protocols active on this blockchain.
The funding round was led by iAngels, with participation from Shima Capital, Pluto Digital, GBV, Stardust, Efficient Frontier, Finova, Banter Capital, and COTI, according to an official post. Other investors who aren’t in the crypto field have also invested in the project. Gal Gadot, famed for her portrayal of DC Comics character Wonder Woman and appearances in films such as Justice League, Batman v. Superman, Fast & Furious, Cleopatra, and others, was a part of the investment round, according to one article.
Jaron Varsano, Gadot’s husband and a producer and performer in the Wonder Woman sequel, was also a part of the $2.5 million round. Charles Hoskinson, the creator of Cardano and CEO of Input Output Global, welcomed Gadot to the “family.” Hoskinson posted the following remark to his Twitter account. AdaSwap plans to use the funds to “deliver on its aim of developing the best-decentralized exchange on Cardano,” according to the post. Other AdaSwap products, such as a native NFT marketplace, will be released on this ecosystem to complement the DEX.
The initiative also seeks to provide ADA users with a decentralised platform for exchanging native tokens. As a result, the claim is that they are developing a gamified Cardano system that would allow users to exchange native tokens on the network.
