According to a job advert on LinkedIn, YouTube, Google’s online video sharing and social media platform, is hiring a director to work with Web3 technology. While YouTube requires 15 years of product management experience, the company prefers a candidate with expertise in “buying, owning, and trading cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and tokens.”
Youtube and its parent company, Alphabet (Google), both want to explore blockchain and Web3 technology. Alphabet’s (Google) plans are known, and the company’s subsidiary Youtube published a blog post explaining how it intends to use non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Youtube made an online advertisement on LinkedIn this week searching for a Web3 director with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field. The job title is “Director, Product Management, YouTube Web3,” and the required credentials are 15 years of product management experience. In terms of Youtube’s preferences, the company hopes the candidate has used blockchain technology.
