This Malware can take away your Crypto

Mars Stealer is a small malicious application that only takes up 95KB of disc space, but the security risk it poses is significant. Mars Stealer obtains its configuration from the command and control infrastructure via a bespoke grabber, and then targets application data from popular web browsers, two-factor authentication plugins, and a variety of cryptocurrency extensions and wallets.

MetaMask, Binance Chain Wallet, Nifty Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Guarda are among the most common cryptocurrency browser plug-ins that Mars Stealer may exploit. It can also use Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Exodus, Atomic, Binance, and Coinomi to its advantage. The Mars Stealer is also capable of targeting two-factor authentication apps like Authy and GAuth Authenticator, as well as web browsers including Brave, Opera, and Firefox.

This malicious software has an intriguing feature in that it checks if the user is located in a country that was once a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The software will depart without doing any malicious action if the device’s language ID matches Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.

Stay Aware and Alert while dealing with crypto and protect your hard-earned capital from these types of malware. Cryptoshrypto wishes you good luck for your investing.
