Legendary singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam’s final unreleased song will be auctioned off as a non-fungible token (NFT) on the entertainment platform Diginoor on April 9. This is also the first time that the buyer will receive 51% of the copyright, allowing the NFT holder to make the music available to the general public, alter it, or duplicate it in any way.
After a brief pause, S.P. Charan, filmmaker, playback singer, and SPB’s son, announced that it brings them great pleasure to announce the NFT release of his father’s final unpublished song. They are grateful to Diginoor for developing this NFT and carrying on Shri S.P. Balasubrahmanyam’s heritage. He hopes that his followers will like this special edition of NFT.
Shamil Karim, the founder and CEO of Diginoor, stated that as a Tamilian, it gives him great satisfaction to exclusively distribute S. P. Balasubrahmanyam Sir’s greatest work on Diginoor so that his legacy can remain on the blockchain in perpetuity. For the first time in the industry, the NFT will also allow the transfer of 51% of the rights to this musical masterpiece to the winning bidder. The unreleased music, which is in Tamil, was recorded by SPB a few weeks before his death in September 2020 as a result of problems caused by COVID-19.
SPB released the album “Vishwaroopa Darisanam” in partnership with the prominent music label Symphony Records. Pre-bid proposals for the NFT have dropped by $150,000 on the site. On April 2, Diginoor will release a one-minute clip of the song on its platform to offer fans a sneak peek.
