Mastercard collaborates with Marketplaces to offer NFTs to users

Mastercard is collaborating with a number of non-fungible token exchanges to enable purchasing NFTs with their cards as simple as possible.

Immutable X, Candy Digital, Sandbox, Mintable, Spring, Nifty Gateway, and Web3 MoonPay infrastructure providers have all signed agreements with Mastercard. NFTs will be sold in one of these markets or through their cryptocurrency services.
Mastercard has partnered with Coinbase to allow customers to use their debit and credit cards to purchase NFTs in a market place separated by a crypto company. The company has filed 15 NFT applications and trademarks with the intention of expanding its payment system, slogans, and branding into a growing visible economy, so expect more attacks on the Web3 industry.

Raj Dhamodaran, executive vice president at Mastercard, stated:

“We’re working with these firms to make it possible for users to buy NFTs using their Mastercard cards, whether on one of their markets or through their crypto services. This shift could have a significant impact on the NFT ecosystem, given there are 2.9 billion Mastercard cards in circulation worldwide. In the marketplace of your choice, purchase the NFTs you choose. There’s no need to buy cryptocurrency first.

Mastercard claims to be providing customers with what they desire. It recently released the findings of a survey of more than 35,000 people in 40 countries, which revealed that 45 percent had purchased or were considering purchasing an NFT, and roughly half of those surveyed wanted more flexibility, such as the ability to pay with crypto for everyday purchases or buy an NFT with a credit or debit card.
