Manchester City Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne becomes brand ambassador of crypto exchange Phemex

Kevin De Bruyne, a Belgian soccer star for Manchester City, signed an agreement to be the brand ambassador for the Singapore-based cryptocurrency platform Phemex on May 27, 2022.

The Belgian soccer player Kevin De Bruyne plans to work on a number of projects, including the Phemex Citizen platform, which intends to spread awareness of the services of the crypto exchange and educate and inform crypto users.

Phemex claims that its purpose is to provide ‘great investing possibilities for anyone’ by constructing a cryptocurrency exchange that aims to eradicate exclusivity.

Since its inception in 2019, Singapore-based Phemex has witnessed over $6 billion in daily trade and served over 2 million members.

Kevin De Bruyne excited to join Phemex

Kevin De Bruyne, one of the top soccer players in the world, has announced that his interest in the digital asset industry has grown. Manchester City’s star expressed his excitement at joining up with Phemex and its staff to “create and discover the future of cryptocurrencies.”

Phemex CEO Jack Tao regarded De Bruyne as “the complete player who always adjusts to the game scenario and makes the appropriate play.” 

Phemex CEO stated:

“We look forward to collaborating to demonstrate how our comprehensive and simple-to-use platform enables consumers to break through and gain independence in their financial path.”

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the most significant soccer players right now. He helped Manchester City win its sixth Premier League title a week ago, and he would be one of Belgium’s captain for the World Cup in Qatar in November.

Soccer Players and their Crypto interest

The crypto sector has already connected effectively with the soccer world. Andrés Iniesta, a renowned FC Barcelona footballer, promoted the crypto exchange Binance on Instagram and Twitter last year.

In early 2022, Neymar, a Brazilian professional footballer, revealed his interest in NFT by acquiring a Bored Ape Yacht Club digital collectable at about 160 ETH. It was valued at moreover $480,000 at the time of the acquisition.

Ronaldinho and David Beckham are also members. They recently teamed with the decentralised exchange P00LS to develop their own coin, RON, and the British just submitted three patent applications in the Metaverse for NFTs, virtual clothes, and entertainment events.
