FTX.US to give free Bitcoin for Super Bowl ad

FTX.US, a cryptocurrency exchange, will give away free Bitcoin as part of its forthcoming Super Bowl LVI advertising campaign on February 13th. The quantity of Bitcoin given away, however, has yet to be established, as it will be determined by the time the ad airs on the East Coast.

If the ad plays at 8:50 p.m., for example, the Bahamian-based exchange will give away 8.50 BTC ($374,000 at current pricing). However, if the commercial is broadcast later in the game — say, at 11 p.m. — the prize pool rises to 11 BTC (about $484,000 at the time).

The ad will air during the second half of the game, which will begin at 8 p.m. ET (1:00 a.m. UTC, February 14), an hour and a half after the game began. The reward will be divided among four people, each of whom will need to create an FTX.US account in order to claim it; however, you do not need an account to enter. The winners will be contacted via Twitter direct message.

Anyone who follows the company’s Twitter account and retweets the pinned tweet of its commercial between the time it airs and 11:59 p.m. EST is eligible to win.

Participants must also be legal residents of the United States, except New Yorkers. FTX CEO and Founder Sam Bankman-Fried continues to target sports as the fastest-growing client base for crypto adoption with the next Superbowl ad campaign.

Oh, lord! I wish the SuperBowl was in India too.
