Emirates, UAE airline, launches NFT and Metaverse experiences for its employees and customers

Emirates, a United Arab Emirates (UAE) airline, has announced non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and metaverse experiences for its employees and customers. The release matches the UAE’s activities in the digital economy and virtual assets. 

The project launch is expected in coming months

Emirates, the United Arab Emirates airline, has announced the release of a non-fungible token (NFT) and a new metaverse experience for both its customers and employees. The airline claims that this move will help in the development of the digital economy and virtual assets of the UAE. Development on the first project is already underway, and the launch is expected to be in the coming months.  

Vision of UAE for virtual Economy

Al Maktoum also discussed Emirates’ aims to achieve with the NFTs. 

He stated: 

“We are thrilled about the future potential in the digital domain. We are devoting a large financial and staffing commitment to building products and services that will bring revenue, brand experience, and business efficiency using new technology”.

The CEO stated that in order to accomplish the objectives the airline’s future-themed Emirates Pavilion at Expo is being converted as a hub to build cutting-edge future experiences for the digital economy. Emirates also stated that it will continue to collaborate with its partners on Web3 issues.
