The airline claims that this move will help in the development of the digital economy and virtual assets of the UAE. Development on the first project is already underway, and the launch is expected to be in the coming months.

Al Maktoum also discussed Emirates’ aims to achieve with the NFTs.
He stated:
“We are thrilled about the future potential in the digital domain. We are devoting a large financial and staffing commitment to building products and services that will bring revenue, brand experience, and business efficiency using new technology”.
The CEO stated that in order to accomplish the objectives the airline’s future-themed Emirates Pavilion at Expo is being converted as a hub to build cutting-edge future experiences for the digital economy. Emirates also stated that it will continue to collaborate with its partners on Web3 issues.
