The virtual restaurant was created by Rocket Kitchens, a virtual restaurant company, and its menu was “carefully handpicked by renowned chefs’ ‘ to serve all-American favourites such iconic beef, chicken, and mushroom Swiss burgers, among others, according to Timeout Dubai. The virtual eatery apparently allows payments in all major cryptoassets, including $DOGE, $BNB, $CRO, $XRP, $USDT, and even Shiba Inu ($SHIB), a competitor meme-inspired cryptocurrency. With its founders being early DOGE adopters, the eatery is apparently hoping to help expand crypto acceptance in the UAE.
The virtual eatery was even built with profits from the founders’ early bet on the meme-inspired cryptocurrency DOGE, according to the source. It’s worth mentioning, though, that Doge Burger isn’t the first restaurant in the UAE to take bitcoin payments, with some allowing it as early as 2014.
