Cardano introduces a new project for ecosystem development

In conjunction with iceaddis, a pan-African company incubator, Input-Output Global’s Project Catalyst has established Ariob, an incubator programme. By providing start-ups with venture-building skills and resources to assist them develop solutions that address real-world challenges in Africa, this strategic alliance intends to accelerate the growth of projects sponsored by Cardano’s innovation engine, Project Catalyst.

WADA and Waya Collective are two of the nine Africa-focused initiatives that have joined the Ariob incubator, which is available to all Africa-focused companies. Cardano appears to benefit from a focus on offering cutting-edge initiatives in Africa, since it may help to expedite the expansion of its ecosystem. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson announced that the business wants to launch peer-to-peer (P2P) financing across Africa this year, beginning in Kenya. He feels that this is part of a larger effort to bridge the gap between developed and underdeveloped countries.
Last year, Input-Output Global (IOG) announced a cooperation with the Ethiopian Ministry of Education to enable five million Ethiopian students with access to Atala PRISM technology, which is built on Cardano, to validate their academic credentials. IOG is also collaborating with World Mobile in Zanzibar to use blockchain technology to connect the unconnected and provide access to crucial online services.
Cardano’s parent company, IOHK, described these agreements as a “launchpad” for Cardano’s goal of creating RealFi in a blog post. “RealFi” is defined as “real finance that is focused on people who actually need new methods of accessing finance, creating the actual value that DeFi frequently lacks,” as well as “attractive returns for crypto holders” and “cheaper credit/financial goods for real people,” according to IOHK.
