BitPay introduces Shiba Inu payments enables to over 179 nations

On June 7th, BitPay announced that Shiba Inu transactions may now be enabled to more consumers in 179 countries since Edge officially uses the BitPay Protocol. The Edge is a non-custodial wallet that facilitates more than 130 types of digital assets. It allows consumers to sell, buy, transfer, and trade these assets. It serves approximately 1.7 million users in 179 countries and 10 languages.

Retailers and companies may accept cryptocurrency from wallets that have authorised the BitPay Protocol to take payments over 200 million cryptocurrency users.

BitPay and Shiba Inu collaboration

BitPay officially started accepting the Shiba Inu token in December 2021, allowing SHIB to be purchased at hundreds of BitPay businesses that accept Shiba Inu.

“With [the] Edge’s help, we can enhance payment quality online and in-store for both customers and merchants that wish to take advantage of the benefits of cryptocurrency payments,” Stephen Pair, CEO of BitPay, said.

Shiba Inu transactions rising

Shiba Inu transaction acceptability is rising. Sao Paulo FC, a Brazilian soccer team, recently revealed that it accepts Shiba Inu and bitcoin cryptocurrencies as payment for bookings through Bitso and Bitpay.

Chipotle, a prominent Mexican fast-food restaurant, now accepts Shiba Inu, Bitcoins, and other cryptocurrencies through Flexa, an online payment platform. This transaction will be allowed in over 2,975 Chipotle outlets in the U. S.

Shiba Inu are now accepted in thousands of restaurants in over 65 countries, following a successful collaboration between Lavu and Verifone.

In May, Lavu, a global provider of restaurant management and payment solutions, and Verifone, a provider of transaction solutions, announced a cross-distribution collaboration that would connect Lavu’s restaurant software platform with Verifone’s payment services, facilitating bitcoin payments.

Shiba Inu was last traded a bit higher at $0.0000106.
