Bakkt Holdings joins hand with Global Payments to upgrade crypto services

Global Payments has partnered with Bakkt to offer crypto redemption to its clients and improve client’s access to digital asset services.

Bakkt Holdings, a crypto-focused fintech business, announced on May 3 that they have signed a strategic partnership deal with Global Payments Inc, a US company that provides payment technology and services to merchants and consumers to increase crypto use cases. As a result of the strategic partnership, Global Payments will be able to offer crypto redemption to its clients.

After the partnership, Global Payments will be able to use its issuing technology to crypto with its virtual, debit, credit, and prepaid solutions. It will also expand its banking services, bankcard products to allow consumers access to cryptocurrencies. Bakkt will also work with Global Payments on accepting payments from global merchants. 

Bakkt mission to improve digital asset services

Bakkt’s latest development is part of the company’s ongoing attempts to increase crypto acceptance inside the payment industry. Last year, Bakkt teamed up with MasterCard to let thousands of banks and merchants in the US use its payments network. It delivers a wide variety of crypto products and services to all the MasterCard users. As a result, users may use their crypto rewards at shops on MasterCard’s network. They may also use Bakkt’s digital asset platform to keep, purchase, and trade digital assets using custodial wallets. 

Bakkt joined hands with Google in October, 2021 to deliver digital assets to millions of people. Google was able to expand the reach and usage of digital assets as a result of the partnership, in order to fulfil fast rising customer demand and preferences. 

Bakkt also signed a partnership deal with American Bank to allow the bank’s clients to buy, trade, and keep Bitcoin and Ethereum. 

Bakkt has announced a partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, a New Jersey-based US hotel company, to enable hotel VIP members to use their crypto reward points on Apple Pay and Google Pay. Customers all across the world have benefited from these cooperation since access to digital asset services has grown simpler.
