Azuki NFT #9605 equals 420.7 Ether

According to a tweet from Wednesday, Azuki #9605 sold for 420.7 Ether on the Ethereum-powered secondary market, OpenSea. The manga-style NFT piece is worth around $1,414,506 at current market values. According to OpenSea data, #9605 is now owned by a collector known as “jdizzles2.” According to ‘treboomin,’ a member of the RedBeanDAO who formerly owned the NFT, the buyer goes by the Twitter handle Jason/@BitCoin4Freedom.

For 120 ETH, RedBeanDAO bought #9605 on the secondary market.  According to the business, the project’s staff gave a unique service with their attention to detail and custom code. The sale is the most costly NFT from the 10,000-strong Azuki collection as of the time of writing this report. Chiru Labs’ project, which began in January 2022, is said to be based on the popular Japanese anime and manga art style.

Despite the steep 1 ETH mint price, the collection sold out in three minutes and garnered more than $29 million on the first day. Azuki cemented its position as the eighth most traded NFT of all time after about $300 million in transaction volume less than a month later. According to social media comments, the collection became a so-called challenger to popular collections like Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC), Cool Cats, and Crypto Punks after igniting the NFT sector with excitement.
