American truckers are heading to Washington raises over $100K

A convoy of Truckers from the United States is being organised, and they have begun to receive media attention. The “People’s Convoy,” a group of truckers located in the United States, claims it is “time to halt the Declaration of National Emergency over the Covid-19 outbreak and restore our nation’s constitution.” Truckers can join up to participate in the “lawful” demonstration on the website’s registration page. As of Friday, February 18, donations have surpassed $100,000, according to the website.

Supporters of the People’s Convoy can donate to the cause, which plans to begin on February 22 and leave California the next day, on February 23. Truckers are welcome to join the convoy as it travels through other states on its journey to Washington, D.C. Donations can be made on the website of the American Foundation for Civil Liberties and Freedom, and donors can pay with a credit card, PayPal, or bitcoin. A page with a Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) address is linked from the donations’ portal.

The entire globe has been monitoring the Freedom Convoy protests in Canada, as well as the hundreds of truckers who are participating. Truckers demonstrated in downtown Ottawa over the Covid-19 vaccine mandates imposed on the transportation industry. After Trudeau vowed he would do “whatever it takes” to end the protests in Ottawa, the Canadian government approved the Emergencies Act.

While supporters conversing in the group’s Telegram channel continue to preach the purpose at hand, the truckers participating in the People’s Convoy are being tagged by certain media sources. The purpose appears to be to not only end the National Emergency Declaration, but also to defend the US Constitution.
