Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Entertainment Holdings, has stated on Twitter that AMC Theatres will accept payments in two popular meme cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) in March.
AMC Entertainment, formerly known as AMC Theatres, is the world’s biggest movie exhibition corporation, with locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Globally, the firm owns or runs around 950 theatres and 10,500 screens.

Aron then stated in November of last year that he persuaded Bitpay, a cryptocurrency payment service provider, to endorse Shiba Inu. He also stated that he would be Bitpay’s first client to accept SHIB. However, when Bitpay began supporting Shiba Inu cryptocurrency in November, retail giant Newegg swiftly began taking SHIB payments.
Last year, Aron revealed that AMC Theatres had begun taking four cryptocurrencies: bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), litecoin (LTC), and bitcoin cash (BCH). Customers, however, may only purchase these cryptocurrencies through their PayPal accounts.
