Tommy Hilfiger announced on Monday that the organization would participate in the inaugural Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week, which will take place from March 24th to March 27th, 2022. Tommy Hilfiger is an American fashion design business. It will present its Spring 2022 collections during Metaverse Fashion Week and give consumers a digital shopping platform including Tommy Hilfiger-crafted NFTs.
Decentraland, the digital blockchain metaverse, announced at the end of February 2022 that the project’s inaugural Metaverse Fashion Week (MFW) will take place this year. Tommy Hilfiger stated on March 21 that his participation in the Decentraland MFW symbolises the brand’s commitment to digital innovation and exploring new customer channels.”
Tommy Hilfiger also announced a collaboration with Boson Portal, a metaverse marketplace that provides a virtual lifestyle & cultural playground in Decentraland. It also stated that the items from the Tommy Hilfiger purchased as non-fungible token (NFT) assets, may be redeemed for real objects delivered right to the client’s door by their owners. Tommy Hilfiger-branded Decentraland wearables would be available on the Decentraland marketplace, in addition to the Boson Protocol metaverse marketplace.
As per the information, customers may use their avatars in the virtual store located in the metaverse and browse a limited-edition selection of Tommy Hilfiger goods from the Spring 2022 collection. The collection has floating 3D representations of trademark designs, such as the varsity jacket for men, the madras shirt for women, and a unisex hoodie.
Tommy Hilfiger, the firm’s fashion designer, and founder remarked that when he founded the company, he never imagined that fashion events could be conducted digitally.
