Ken Timsit, former ConsenSys Sales and Marketing Leader, will be the next Managing Director of the Cronos chain and Particle B.
“I’ve long admired the Cronos project from afar and am honoured to lead it at such a critical time of growth and innovation,”said Timsit, who came from ConsenSys.
Timsit held a number of senior positions at ConsenSys, the blockchain technology firm behind some of the world’s most popular crypto products such as MetaMask and Infura, most recently as chief revenue officer in charge of worldwide sales and marketing.
Cronos has surpassed $2 billion in Total Value Locked (TVL) and 13 million network transactions since its mainnet launch in November 2021. The open-source Layer 1 blockchain is prepared to dramatically extend the DeFi and dApp ecosystems by leveraging built-in interoperability.
It will allow developers to quickly migrate apps and crypto assets from other chains, in combination with cheap cost, high throughput, and fast finality. Cronos, which has over 340.000 users, has already been home to roughly 100 Web3 projects.
