The anonymous crypto artist Pak’s recent NFT collaboration with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is scheduled to be released next week.
Since April 2019, Assange has been detained in a London jail after his asylum status at the Ecuadorian embassy in London was terminated. The following month, he was charged in the Eastern District Court of Virginia with 17 counts of espionage related to classified documents that he had disclosed on Wikileaks.
When Wikileaks announced the collaboration on Twitter, it used the hashtag #FreeAssangeNOW. The project’s name, “Censored,” further implies that the NFTs are being sold to help Assange’s legal fights.
