Snoop Dogg believes record labels “better served on blockchain than cobwebs”

In the realm of Web3, Snoop Dogg is arguably the most well-known celebrity. He was one of the first well-known figures to buy cryptocurrencies and launch his own NFT. Now, Snoop Dogg has added another number to its list of suggested cryptocurrencies.

Snoop Dogg is an American rapper, media personality, songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur. On June 28, CNBC did an interview with Snoop Dogg and his son, Champ Medici, also known as Cordell Broadus. In the interview, Snoop Dogg provides a suggestion that record labels are “better served on the blockchain than sitting in a catalogue collecting cobwebs.”

According to Snoop Dogg, crypto is a beautiful industry. However, every great industry has a downfall. He stated in the interview:

“There is always a depression in every industry but they made a certain incline when industry got a certain back or help.”

Snoop Dogg claimed that the “crypto winter” got rid of everyone who shouldn’t have been there and who was exploiting the available chances. In the future, when the market recovers, there will only be fantastic options to choose from. “Now it’s going to bring on wonderful business.”

Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, a.k.a. Champ Medici, remarked:

“And it’s not just labels. Everyone is racing to Web3 because they see how big the Dogg is in space. It’s movie studios, tech corporations, and beverage brands. “

When asked if he thinks that NFTs still have a major place in the music industry, Snoop Dogg replied: “I know [NFTs] have a huge possibility to be famous in music, because sooner or later the labels are going to have to come on in.”
