WildEarth supports nature conservation via NFTs

WildEarth, the company behind a live-streamed nature-focused TV channel, has established NFT collections that directly help individual animals and wildlife conservation.

The first 25 collections became available on WildEarth’s polygon-based marketplace on January 2nd, with a max supply ranging from 150 to 900. Each NFT represents an animal under the care of the partnering conservation initiatives and costs 120 MATIC ($196) to mint. At the time of writing, there are still lots of tokens available.

Following the completion of the initial sales, WildEarth will collect 10% royalties on all secondary sales and give 80% of those profits to the wildlife habitat custodian of the specific animal portrayed in the NFT.

Later this month, the WildEarth TV channel’s Search and ID show will also debut a “watch-to-earn” feature. This will allow viewers to mint NFTs relating to certain nocturnal-animals that are entered into the animal registry using a thermal drone at the moment. After the minting window closes, no more NFTs relating to those animals will be produced.
