Web3’s pocket network moves with some real serious pace

Pocket Network, an infrastructure middleware protocol that enables decentralised multichain blockchain access to Web3 developer applications such as Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Solana, Fuse, OEC, and Harmony, has reported a surge in industry demand, with a record of 3 billion relays serviced in the last 7 days. This accomplishment has seen numbers surge from 5M daily relays less than a year ago to 600M+ daily relays, a 120x increase.

The most recent increase was evident throughout the week, as multiple single-day relay all-time high records were set, frequently. If not thousands, hundreds of independent node runners support relays over six continents. 38K+ nodes are serving apps at the same time, rotating out every hour and coordinated by a protocol that requires no rent. This demand is unaffected by market conditions and will remain a cornerstone in either a bear or a bull market.

“Pocket’s relay growth is proof of a significant acceleration in the web3 ecosystem overall,” stated Michael O’Rourke, CEO and Founder of Pocket Network. “Our community has grown in tandem with the rise of relays.” It’s simply amazing how many people recognize the value of the decentralized architecture that Pocket is constructing.”

Pocket Network is now on track to surpass the 1 billion relays per day milestone by the end of 2022, as new blockchains and app integrations continue to choose Pocket Network as their preferred decentralized global infrastructure provider. Pocket’s growth and dominance have been built on being, faster, cheaper, and better.
