Nouriel Roubini, a well-known economist with a strident anti-crypto position, never misses an opportunity to mock digital assets and anything linked with their acceptance.
So it all started like this:
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of the Ethereum Foundation, has issued a warning to all developers of decentralised applications for the Ethereum (ETH) and other EVM-compatible blockchains.
Buterin tweeted the following:
He emphasised that every dApp, excluding MetaMask, should be tested with at least one wallet. For example, it’s useful to see how it works with browsers that include built-in wallets, such as Brave and Status.
This is required to ensure that future decentralised apps satisfy the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain’s standards as a whole, rather than the “accidental properties” of a single wallet.
Nouriel Roubini slammed this counsel, claiming it was too complicated for the common public:
“So much for crypto’s simplicity and ease of usage. To understand these instructions, you’ll need a cryptography PhD…”
Ethereum’s creator responded with a retort. He equated Mr. Roubini’s attacks to a failure to learn about automobile security instruments:
Me: when you’re building a car, make sure to add BOTH a seatbelt AND airbags. Two factor safety is better than one!
Nouriel: wow cars have so many buzzwords and things people have to worry about. Driving is NGMI.
Mr. Roubini previously stated that El Salvador’s pro-Bitcoin president should be impeached because of his cryptocurrency ambitions.
