David Gokhshtein, the founder of Gokhshtein Media, took to Twitter to express his new hopes for Vitalik Buterin and Dogecoin. This was in response to reports that the ETH co-founder and frontman had donated $1 million to the Dogecoin Foundation.
Gokhshtein stated on Twitter that he expects Buterin to be working on something that will help Dogecoin get to the next level. Vitalik’s donation to his 616.1K subscribers was tweeted by Matt Wallace, a Dogecoin investor.
Buterin joined the Dogecoin Foundation board of advisors in August of last year, expressing his hope that the most popular meme cryptocurrency would switch to Proof-of-Stake from the energy-intensive Proof-of-Work algorithm shortly.
Billy Markus, a co-founder of Dogecoin, did not respond to Wallace’s tweet, neither denying nor confirming it. He still maintains his finger on the pulse here, despite having left the DOGE project a long time ago.
While Markus did not say whether the DOGE community now resembles his ideal image, he did say that Bitcoiners “most usually come out as arrogant, condescending bros” since they do not tolerate followers of other chains. Others who have called other coins hoaxes include Max Keiser and former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
