HomeAcademyValidator Nodes

Validator Nodes

Hello reader, I am here to tell you about validator nodes in brief.

Validator nodes are operators who each hold a copy of the blockchain and are required to fulfil certain activities in order to keep the system secure.

Each staking epoch, an election mechanism chooses a restricted number of Validator nodes.

To fill the available slots, this system will automatically choose the Validators with the highest total stake.

PoS consensus relies heavily on validators. They are effectively the staking system’s moderators, and they are in charge of authoring new blocks on the chain.

Anyone with hardware that satisfies the basic requirements can run validator nodes ( 250G storage 8G RAM).

It’s vital to remember that if a Validator doesn’t follow through on their obligations, a piece of their investment will be taken away.

It’s a wrap for now. I hope you enjoyed reading this.
