Unstoppable Domains, a service that lets you tie a domain name to a cryptocurrency wallet, has made two significant appointments as it expands its global reach. Sajjad Rehman, a former Twitch executive, will manage the company’s European initiatives, bringing in wallets, fintechs, and gaming platforms from the region. Nilkanth Iyer, a former IBM executive, will focus on the continent’s exchanges while in Asia.
On his hiring, Nikanth Iyer stated the following:
“I was a valued advisor to CEOs of Global 2000 organisations and their partner ecosystems in my previous work at IBM and CAST, helping them modernise their IT and refactor to Cloud. Web 3 is, in my opinion, the logical next step in that process.”
The platform introduced a function in January that allows users to check in to websites using one of their NFT-formatted domains. Draper Associates is backing Unstoppable Domains, which is also receiving funding from the Ethereum Foundation and the Zilliqa Foundation. It received a $4 million funding round in mid-2019.
