YallaMarket, a UAE-based grocery delivery platform, announced on Wednesday that it now accepts cryptocurrency payments for customer orders. While some governments avoid the possibility of adopting metaverse and cryptocurrency, the UAE has been a crypto-friendly city.
The company currently accepts payments in the stablecoins USD Coin (USDC) and Tether (USDT). They also intend to begin paying their employees in cryptocurrency.
The widespread and global acceptance of cryptocurrencies as payment methods is occurring not only in Dubai, but throughout the world. The UAE is crypto-friendly and is regarded as the Middle East’s cryptocurrency epicentre.
YallaMarket has taken a significant step toward providing their customers with alternative payment options. Integrating cryptocurrency payments into their system is a wise and creative move. Refusing to be ordinary, YallaMarket co-founder and CEO Leo Dovbenko pioneered the use of cryptocurrency payments.
Leo Dovbenko, the company’s CEO, is a blockchain enthusiast. He wishes to combine the metaverse with traditional payment systems in order to provide a better experience for customers. Leo also has a lot of other startups, which means those businesses may also begin their crypto journey. He believes that the best way to future-proof a business is to incorporate cryptocurrency into their financial operations before more people jump on board.
YallaMarket has partnered with CoinMena, a crypto trading platform that allows payment integration and provides high speed and flexibility, to make this possible.
