CZ ranks 11th among the world’s wealthiest people, as Binance maintains its position as the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume.
CZ is estimated by Bloomberg to be just $11 billion behind Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. While this is the first time Bloomberg has evaluated CZ’s worth, Binance’s growth trajectory suggests it might surpass IT titans like Mark Zuckerberg of Meta and Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google.
Zuckerberg, Page, and Brin are currently ranked 5th, 6th, and 7th, respectively, with Tesla CEO Elon Musk dominating the billionaires’ list with a net worth of $263 billion.
Binance’s triumph can be credited to CZ’s continued attempts to acquire operational licenses in various jurisdictions. Despite regulatory challenges, Binance continues to collaborate and acquire new companies in order to remain a leader in the crypto trading sector.
The crypto exchange just completed the acquisition of Swipe, a popular crypto Visa card provider with over 70 million locations worldwide. Binance also announced a $1 billion initiative to accelerate the development of the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem and accelerate mainstream adoption across the financial technology sector.
