The Cboe trading platform to feature a Bitcoin ETF from Cosmos Asset Management

The Bitcoin ETF from Cosmos Asset Management will be featured on the Cboe trading platform.

The Australian Financial Review announced that the Bitcoin ETF, the first bitcoin exchange-traded fund in Australia, will be launched on the Cboe equities trading platform next week. The product will be able to trade on April 27.

Australia’s financial market, ASX Clear, has announced that it has 4 market players who would cover the first margin requirements of 42%.

The publication reported Hamish Treleaven, ASX’s chief risk officer, noting that a notification will be sent to market players on Wednesday.

Cosmos Bitcoin ETF

The Cosmos Asset Management invests in cryptocurrencies using Purpose Bitcoin ETF. The ETF was launched on the Toronto Stock Exchange in November. The ETF is expected to attract $1 billion in inflows when it launches next week in Australia.

The Global Digital Miners Access ETF, which has a net asset value of $2.1 million and is traded on Cboe Australia, and the unlisted Bitcoin Wholesale Access Fund are two of Cosmos’ current products.

The clearance of the Cosmos Bitcoin ETF by ASX Clear might pave the way for bitcoin ETFs to be listed on the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSE).
