On May 31, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, reacted strongly to Jackson Palmer, the co-founder of Dogecoin, for claiming to have built a Python script that could tackle Twitter spambots.
Palmer revealed in a recent interview with the Australian magazine Crikey that Tesla CEO Elon Musk had contacted him to get a copy of the script, which he had also shared with other crypto influencers. Elon Musk then asked him how to run the Python script, implying that the Tesla CEO is inexperienced with coding.
In a recent tweet, Elon Musk replied sarcastically to Palmer’s claims, calling them “fake” and asking him to share the script with the rest of the world: “You falsely stated that your poor Python snippet gets rid of bots.” Okay, friend, then share it with the rest of the world.”
Musk adds, “My kids created better code when they were 12 than Jackson’s nonsense script. As I previously stated, if it’s so good, he should share it with the rest of the world and improve everyone’s Twitter experience. You’ll understand what I mean if he does. Jackson Palmer is a tool.”
Palmer further said that Musk only wants to ruin the popular social media network Twitter by creating conflict in reaction to his contentious acquisition plan. Palmer believes Musk is attempting to “destroy all faith” in Twitter. He goes on to add that the tech tycoon is nave to think he can produce a viable alternative.
