Sorare announced its entry into baseball in the NFT game sphere, after fantasy soccer. Major League Baseball (MLB), MLB Players, and Sorare will work together to develop the first Major League Baseball NFT-based free-to-play game this summer.
Sorare’s platform, as the official NFT Baseball game partner of MLB, will allow fans to celebrate and share their passion via gaming. This is Sorare’s first venture into games apart from soccer.
According to Nicolas Julia, co-founder and CEO of Sorare, MLB has been at the forefront of interactive games for decades, and baseball has some of the oldest and most established forms of sports memorabilia. He added that today, as digital engagement and technology advance for a new generation, their partnership will enable a wider and more complex audience to connect with America’s pastime.
During the live experience of baseball games, fans may assemble the best squad of NFTs representing Major League players and connect with athletes, teams, and the league further. Sorare has developed an experience that goes beyond simply collecting NFTs since its inception. Sorare is creating an experience where fans can manage their favourite players, hone a passion, and receive weekly rewards, unlocking utility for NFTs by combining digital assets with free-to-play games.
