Salinas Pliego claims that Bitcoin makes about 60 per cent of his assets

Ricardo Salinas Pliego’s investment portfolio has 60% exposure to Bitcoin and related assets while 40% of his money is invested in oil and gold.

Bitcoin is the greatest chunk of billionaire Ricard Salinas Pliego’s liquid assets, according to Forbes’ newest wealthy list.

On Thursday, Salinas was addressing at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami, where he previously recommended investors keep at least a portion of their holdings in the benchmark cryptocurrency.

“I own 60% of Bitcoin and Bitcoin equities and 40% of hard asset stocks such as oil and gas and gold miners,”

according to the head of Grupo Elektra Ricardo Salinas Pliego.

Bitcoin is a superior investment: Salinas

Salinas Pliego’s net Bitcoin and associated product holdings have expanded dramatically over the last two years. In 2020, the Mexican billionaire stated that BTC accounted for around 10% of his assets. His current remarks imply that Bitcoin is a superior investment to government bonds.

On a panel at the conference, Salinas stated, “I absolutely don’t have any bonds.” Salinas believes Bitcoin is a superior asset to bonds, which are expected to have their worst returns in almost seven decades as a result of central bank monetary tightening and interest rate rises.

In addition, Salinas is the owner of TV Azteca, one of Mexico’s most well-known broadcasters. His estimated net worth is $12.9 billion dollars.
