Bitriver, one of the leading operators of crypto mining data centres in Russia, may challenge the US over the sanctions decision. The company holds that it does not assist the Russian government in evading international sanctions.
Bitriver assures US Accusations as false
Bitriver, a top mining firm in Russia, is considering filing a case against the US Treasury Department, which recently identified as a Swiss-registered corporation.
According to Bitriver, the measures of the department are harming its image and foreign business because the allegations are false. The firm assured that the allegations are unfair, and it demands that it be removed from the blacklist by American authorities.
It further said that Bitriver is a 100% private enterprise that does not assist the Russian Federation in circumventing sanctions in any manner.
The Russian organisation also claims the Treasury of unfair competition and lobbying on behalf of the US mining industry, is breaching WTO norms. Bitriver CEO Igor Runets said the department’s decision is an attempt to divert the global balance of power in favour of US corporations and to eliminate the largest Russian participant from the market.
Bitriver manufacturing units working smoothly
Bitriver states that in spite of the constraints, all of its manufacturing outlets and offices in the Russian Federation are working smoothly. The company claims its overseas clients have indicated their plans to continue working with the Russian bitcoin mining company.
Several sanctions on Russia have been imposed by Western partners, limiting Russia’s access to global banking and foreign reserves.
