Mr. Ulbricht used Twitter to announce the specifics of his second NFT collection, “Growth.” It will be revealed at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami on April 5, 2022.
Then, on April 6-8, the Scarce.City portal will launch the bidding process for items. Four actual framed paintings with certificates of authority validated by the Bitcoin (BTC) network and one Bitcoin-tokenized digital animation are included in the collection. Apart from earning funds, this collection will serve as a tribute to Ross Ulbricht’s global community of Bitcoin (BTC) aficionados and their efforts to push clemency petitions in his case. Scarce will organise this auction and City Marketplace will use its own Bitcoin and Lightning-based platform.
Ross Ulbricht’s whole body of work is committed to blockchain and mankind. The auction’s organisers emphasise that none of the money raised will go to Ross Ulbricht or his family. Instead, it will be delivered to FreeRossDAO, a decentralised project that is unlike any other sales. As previously reported, Ross Ulbricht’s NFT venture held its maiden auction in early December 2021, with the highest bids exceeding $1 million.
