Famous Director Ridley Scott to produce Ethereum movie based on book “The Infinite Machine”

Ridley Scott, the famous director, agreed to produce a film based on the book "The Infinite Machine," which chronicles the birth and growth of Ethereum.

Ridley Scott, one of the greatest film directors of all time, will be the next star to enter the crypto world and bring it to Hollywood. As he is all set to produce a movie based on the book “The Infinite Machine,” about the Ethereum network’s foundation.

The Infinite Machine, a book by Camila Russo on Vitalik Buterin’s idea for Ethereum and its subsequent development, is intended to be made into a full-length film which will be produced by Ridley Scott, a Hollywood legend. The British director has helmed Oscar-winning films such as “Alien,” “Gladiator,” “The Martian,” and others over his illustrious career.

Shyam Madiraju will helm “The Infinite Machine,” with Ridley Scott, Tom Moran, Vera Meyer, and Alejandro Miranda serving as producers. The book’s author, cryptocurrency journalist Camila Russo, claimed the film’s directing and production staff could not be better:

“It’s incredibly exciting to have Ridley Scott and the crew at Scott Free produce the movie of “The Infinite Machine” alongside us. I can’t imagine a better team to turn the riveting story about the people behind the most revolutionary technology since the internet into a feature film that will capture the hearts of our generation.”

Quentin Tarantino, another well-known Hollywood director, has dabbled in the Bitcoin market. He auctioned seven “secret” NFTs portraying fan-favourite scenes from his film “Pulp Fiction” at the start of 2022. Each collectible also came with a bespoke audio narration from Tarantino himself. The public auction made use of Ethereum’s blockchain, with participants able to buy non-fungible tokens with ETH and ERC-20 compliant stablecoins.

SCRT Labs was the director’s initiative partner. Guy Zyskind, the CEO of the latter, spoke on the subject:

“Secret Network is proud to stand with Quentin. We are committed to working with talented artists across the globe by providing them a better way to release their works directly to fans without relying on older distribution models that favour conglomerates over creators.”
