Polygon announces a six-fold rise in the number of dApps built on its network in six months.
According to Alchemy statistics, Polygon has reached a new adoption milestone with more than 19,000 decentralised apps (dApps) operating on its network.
Polygon now has well over 8,000 monthly active teams, up from over 6,000 in January and only a few thousand in October. 65% of the teams were fully developed on Polygon, whereas just 35% were based on Ethereum.
Also, the PoS has completed over 3.4 billion total transactions, with over 135 million unique user addresses and over $5 billion in assets secured.
Polygon and Alchemy partnership
Polygon announced its partnership with Alchemy in June 2021, saying that it had been a catalyst for adoption, with 3,000 dApps operating on the network in October, 7,000 in January, and over 19,000 as of April.
It claims that since Alchemy’s support of Polygon, the number of Polygon applications has increased more than 95-fold because. In addition to its infrastructure and platform capabilities, Alchemy works with Polygon to address and mitigate network-level problems as they arise.
Polygon substantial growth in recent months
The Polygon team introduced Supernets, a scalable blockchain architecture aimed at accelerating the adoption of Polygon and Web3. Polygon ID, a decentralised and private identity, was released in late March by the Layer 2 scaling. Polygon ID uses the Iden3 protocol and Circom ZK toolkit and is private by default, allowing on-chain verification.
