On May 17, Seth Green, a well-known American actor, writer, director and producer revealed on Twitter that he had become the target of a phishing assault. The hackers have stolen his 4 NFTs, including one Bored Ape NFT. The news was later confirmed by OpenSea.
With its recent rise, the NFT sector has attracted lots of Hollywood biggies such as Neymar, Eminem, Serena Williams, Madonna, Snoop Dogg, and many more who have purchased digital collections and even released their own NFT collection. Seth Green, a 48-year-old Hollywood actor popularly known for his work in the movies such as Robot Chicken, The Italian Job, and Party Monsters has recently joined the league of these Hollywood biggies.
On May 17, Seth Green revealed that four of his NFTs were stolen by the hackers as a result of a phishing assault. According to Green, the 4 stolen NFTs were from some of the most popular NFT collections including Doodles, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, and Bored Ape Yacht Club.
He tweeted:
“Well frens, it happened to me. Got phished and had 4NFT stolen. @boredApe @opensea @doodles @yugalabs please don’t buy or trade these while I work to resolve:@Darkwing84 looks like you bought my stolen ape- hit me up so we can fix it”

According to the sources, such assaults occur when a hacker sends a fake message to the target in order to deceive Green into providing important information – usually in order to access his computer or phone. The attacker can then steal data or install harmful software such as ransomware after getting access to Green’s laptop.
