Ledger collaborates with the Sandbox to boost crypto education in the Metaverse

The Sandbox, a blockchain game, has teamed up with cryptocurrency hardware wallet company Ledger to encourage crypto education in its virtual environment. The revelation was made by Ian Rogers, Ledger’s chief experience officer, at the Non-Fungible Conference on Monday. According to him, the new alliance intends to offer security to The Sandbox’s universe and give Ledger a role in educating people about cryptocurrency.

Rogers thanked The Sandbox and Sebastien Borget, the company’s co-founder and chief operations officer, for the chance, adding that Ledger will issue SAND owners with customised Ledger Nanos as part of the arrangement. In an exclusive statement, Rogers cliamed that the most essential aspect of the cooperation will be educating people about security.
A Ledger representative said the firm hopes to release further specifics about the agreement at a later date. Ledger is a well-known maker of hardware cryptocurrency wallets, which are physical devices that hold a user’s private keys. The French company has been actively expanding its operations beyond traditional cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) to include non-fungible tokens. In early March, Ledger released a limited version of the Ledger Nano S Plus, a fresh new hardware wallet that supports NFTs by design.
