Good news for millions of crypto and food fans as the cooperation between Lavu, global restaurant software payment solution provider and Verifone, a fintech payments giant is all ready to bring the crypto and restaurant businesses closer. According to the announcement on May 17, Lavu and Verifone’s partnership agreement, they would “seamlessly integrate” their technologies at thousands of restaurants to enable enhanced payment options. Thanks to the partnership, more than thousands restaurants in 65 nations will be able to accept cryptocurrencies payments.
The list of accepted cryptocurrencies include the meme-inspired cryptocurrencies Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE), as well as other stablecoins and cryptocurrencies giants such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). It aims to improve customers’ payment experiences by providing them the option to pay using a wide range of cryptocurrencies.
According to the announcement, the partnership will enable restaurants to “more easily meet rapidly evolving consumer behaviour, most notably the accelerated shift to digital and split payments, which will include not only cryptocurrencies but also PayPal, Alipay, Venmo, Affirm, WeChat Pay, and others.”
The new partnership comes as Shiba Inu’s burn rate is increasing, with 12.8 billion SHIB burned in the last 24 hours after the crypto’s burn portal started paying $RYOSHI incentives to people who burn tokens.
