El Salvador, which has been at the forefront of cryptocurrency adoption since introducing Bitcoin as legal tender, has opened a new Bitcoin education centre. The law to make Bitcoin legal tender in El Salvador was just passed by the Legislative Assembly on June 9, and the Bitcoin Law went into effect on September 7, 2021. President Bukele announced during a national speech on June 24, 2021, that the Bitcoin Law will go into force on September 7, 2021.
El Salvador has teamed with peer-to-peer Bitcoin marketplace Paxful to develop “La Casa Del Bitcoin,” an educational and training facility that will give tools for learning about Bitcoin, according to a report by Cointelegraph.
According to Paxful’s blog post from February 2, the centre will “also be home to the Built with Bitcoin Foundation headquarters, holding events and gatherings to build more community engagement and education.”
Ray Youssef, the CEO of Paxful, also shared a video of the education centre on his Twitter account.
