The founder of Ukrainian crypto exchange KUNA alleges that Binance is supporting the Russian government, when Russia is facing global sanction from some time.
In a recent interview, founder of crypto exchange Mikhail Chobanyan said Binance CEO must clear its stance on Russia after Russia invaded Ukraine in late February.
KUNA founder on further speaking about Binance said the main issue with Binance is they continues their operation on both sides, but they have exhibited support before the war. “As far as I know they are still in support with Russian government”.
KUNA founder and acting president of Ukrainian Blockchain Association, Mikhail Chobanyan took on Binance when they appeared before the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee on Thursday at a hearing on “The Role of Digital Assets in Illicit Finance.” In that hearing Chobanyan claims Binance is not being aggressive toward the Russian government.
Notingly, initially Binance discloses that they are not planning to ban Russian from accessing the platform, but they also assure that they will take action against those users on whom sanctions have been imposed.
Binance spokesperson Jessica Jung clearly denies recent claims and says they prefer not to comment on this incorrect claim.
