Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of Infosys, has denied initiating a cryptocurrency project. Nilekani posted on Twitter on Tuesday, “You may have come across a post on several social media sites saying that I have established a crypto project.” It’s #fakenews! “
He asked people not to click on the social media post and instead to report it as misleading or incorrect information on the site where they saw it.

The co-founder of Infosys has been active in bringing cryptocurrency into the nation. Nilekani stated in December of last year that crypto assets were worth investigating and might be used to significantly boost financial inclusion.
At the Reuters Next Conference on 1 December, 2021, Nilekani highlighted the role of crypto as assets. He also stated that people obviously will have to follow all the laws and make sure that it doesn’t become a backdoor for money laundering. Cryptocurrency must use that as an entry point to get a lot of young people into financial markets.
