Hong Kong’s K11 MUSEA is ready to host a large-scale exhibition of non-fungible token (NFT) artwork, educational workshops and talks for people of all ages starting from April 29 to June 19, 2022. Notably, K11 MUSEA will exhibit over 200 pieces of NFT artwork by more than 30 solo artists and NFT projects across nine different floors. By sponsoring exhibitions and seminars, K11 MUSEA claims to be on a social mission to democratise, demystify and normalise the NFT art for everyone.
According to K11 MUSEA, The “METAVISION” show exhibits NFT artwork by some of the world’s best artists. The NFT artists include the 8 years old world-renowned painters like Tom Sachs and Takashi Murakami. Arthus Ng, an 8-year-old Hong Kong artist, is one of the most popular names to look out for during the exhibition, with his latest digital depiction of snakes catching many people’s attention.
The NFT artwork on show is believed to be worth about 26,000 ETH (roughly $82 million or HK $646 million) in total. HSBC and strategic partner Visa are sponsoring a series of workshops and seminars for people of all ages to learn more about the rapidly growing field of NFT art.
Since its inception in 2019, K11 MUSEA has hosted immersive art and cultural experiences. In the year 2021, K11 MUSEA partnered with Sotheby’s to deliver Wong Kar-iconic Wai’s NFT launch. It has also collaborated with Hajime Sorayama, a Japanese artist, to present a collection of hybrid NFT and physical sculpture collectibles.
