Foundry, a bitcoin miner, acquires Upstate Interactive, a web3 company

Foundry, a mining subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, has acquired Upstate Interactive, a web3 software development and consultancy firm.

According to a joint release made Wednesday, Upstate Interactive worked on UI/UX development for Foundry’s staking business, which began in November of last year.

According to the release, the firm’s skills will now be incorporated into Foundry’s products.

Last year, Foundry also developed a marketplace to sell bitcoin mining devices called Foundry. After establishing a bitcoin mining pool, it swiftly evolved to become one of the world’s biggest.

Both firms are based in the state of New York.

“This purchase will help us further our aim of shaping the future of decentralisation from right here in Upstate New York,” Foundry CEO Mike Colyer stated.
