On June 17, Elon Musk discussed in a Q&A session with Twitter employees about his plan for the social media company, Twitter. He believes that including cryptocurrency in the social media programme “makes sense.”
Details of Musk’s most recent encounter with Twitter employees in a virtual town hall have emerged for the first time since he agreed to acquire the social network for $44 billion earlier this month.
According to reports, the business magnate emphasised the necessity for a payments connection that would allow for frictionless money transfers between users. He also called for an integrated payment system that would allow crypto transactions.
“I think it would make sense to integrate payments into Twitter so that it’s easy to send money back and forth.” And if you have currency as well as crypto. Essentially, whenever somebody would find it useful.”
Musk sees three crucial categories as news, entertainment, and payments. He also emphasised the platform’s widespread crypto fraud and proposed making the algorithm “open source” so that users may “critique it, enhance it, uncover errors, perhaps, or prejudice.” He feels that this approach will promote openness and confidence.
