Drake donated $1 million in Bitcoin to the LeBron James Family Foundation.
Following a significant win in an online roulette game on the cryptocurrency betting site Stake, Canadian artist Aubrey Drake Graham, better known as Drake, claimed he would donate $1 million in Bitcoin to a charity.
Through a variety of projects and assistance programmes, the LeBron James Family Foundation aims to assist underprivileged students. The website states, “Speaking of unforgettable evenings, I spent a fantastic night playing roulette on Stake.com last night. It was my greatest hit to date. As you can see, I was excited. When I’m blessed like that, I always assume it’s luck or good karma that has to be transmitted. I play for fun and with the hope that I might constantly share love.”
Drake announced a relationship with Stake earlier this month, intending to play for real money on the betting site that he intended to give away.
Last month, the recording artist bet $1.26 million in Bitcoin through Stake on the Los Angeles Rams (LA Rams) vs. Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl game. According to sources, Drake bet $472,476 in Bitcoin on the Los Angeles Rams’ victory, in addition to $393,825 on athlete Odell Beckham Jr.
The Los Angeles squad won by a score of 20-30, and despite Odell Beckham Jr. departing the game with an injury, Drake was able to make $300,000 in Bitcoin on his SuperBowl predictions.
