A CryptoPunks NFT has been sold for a world record price of $24 million in Ethereum, which dwarfs any previous CryptoPunks price in ETH or USD. CryptoPunks is one of the space’s oldest NFT collections. The collection was created in 2017, when there was little to no interest in the field, but it is now regarded as one of the most valuable works in the non-fungible token field.
They’re a collection of 10,000 tokenized and pixelated art images of people, aliens, apes, zombies, and other creatures made by a machine. Deepak Thapliyal, the Chief Executive Officer of Chain, purchased the latest CryptoPunks. On Twitter, the CEO announced the acquisition of the NFT. According to available information, he paid 8,000 ETH for the CryptoPunks.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time a CryptoPunks NFT has fetched top dollar. Shalom Meckenzie of DraftKings paid $11.8 million at a Sotheby auction last year to buy one of the NFTs from the collection. Pseudonymous 4156 made headlines in December when he sold his NFT for more than $10 million in NFT.
Hmm, by seeing these figures, I want to enter NFTs now.
