In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin surged 4.7 percent, reaching an intraday high of $44,207 in the early hours of Tuesday, while the whole market has gained around $90 billion.
The leading cryptocurrency has gained 14 percent in the last two weeks, according to CoinGecko data, contributing to the overall market recovery.
Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market value, is currently trading at $3,104, up 8.2 percent today. Other coins have surged as well. Binane Coin (BNB) has increased by 8.5 percent to $428 in the last day, while SOL, the Solana blockchain’s native currency, has increased by 11.4 percent to $103.
The most recent price action has put the whole market capitalisation back above $2 trillion, a level last tested on February 10.
